In Patagonia, comparsas are groups who travel from estancia to estancia (large ranch to large ranch) shearing sheep. One of our artisans showed us his idea of a hand-hewn base and La Comparsa was born. We get a lot of comments on these tables, many people coming close and touching the base to make certain it is wood. Often mistaken for copper, this base is as eye-catching to us today as it was when it was first proudly displayed. Our standard classic plank top has been dressed up with an understated edge. Also available in a square version (DC272S).
