Design Inspiration - Constellation Tables October 08 2014, 0 Comments

The Vincent Dieval design constellation tables are truly out of this world! Vincent has taken the astronomy star charts to create a collection of unique end tables. The design savvy client selects Patagonia Legacy's Constellation Collection tables to envision art as functional furniture in their living space. The Crux, Cygnus, Triangulum Austral, and the Lyre will be the brightest star in your universe. Each Patagonia Legacy table is truly unique in all of the world.

Patagonia Legacy designs come from many designers such as Vincent Dieval. He spent several weeks in our Patagonia workshop becoming familiar with our wood and our process. The Constellation collection came out of this collaboration. In all four pieces the placement of the legs through the mortise in the top of the table align with the star chart of the constellation.

Crux is inspired by the constellation of the same name, which translates as “The Cross” from Latin. Crux is the smallest of the 88 modern constellations, but the most distinctive.

The Cygnus end table is inspired by the constellation of the same name, which translates as “The Swan". Cygnus is a northern constellation lying on the plane of the Milky Way. The swan is one of the most recognizable constellations of the northern summer.

The end table Triangulum Australe is inspired by the constellation of the same name, which translates as “The Southern Triangle”.

The last end table is inspired by the constellation Lyra, which resembles a harp. Although it is a small constellation, it's principal star, Vega is one of the brightest in the sky.
When you own a Patagonia Legacy table, you own a piece of Patagonia. You become a part of the fine tradition of outstanding beauty, timeless style and enduring character.
